Reception of Visits and Registered Mail Until the 14th of This Month
The Gangnam Cultural Foundation in Seoul (Chairperson Lee Jayeon) is publicly recruiting an artistic director and permanent conductor for the Gangnam Symphony Orchestra, who possesses both expertise and leadership to contribute to the promotion of culture and arts in Gangnam-gu and the creation of high-quality performance culture, until the 14th of this month.
The Gangnam Symphony Orchestra was founded in 1997 and restarted as an artistic group under the Gangnam Cultural Foundation in June 2009. Since then, it has actively performed a total of 104 regular concerts, classical performances with commentary, and outreach concerts.
Following the inaugural artistic director Seo Hyunseok, the 2nd artistic director Sung Giseon, and the 3rd artistic director Yeo Jagyeong have led the Gangnam Symphony Orchestra. Through this recruitment, the 4th artistic director will present even more diverse and high-quality performances.
Applicants must be majors in the relevant field (holding a master's degree or higher) and have at least 2 years of experience as an artistic director (permanent conductor) of a national or public symphony orchestra, or have guest conducted a national or public symphony orchestra at least 15 times. Applications will be accepted from the 7th to 14th of this month until 6 PM, either by in-person submission or registered mail (only those arriving before 6 PM on the deadline day will be accepted). After document and conducting video screening and interviews, the final successful candidate will be selected in August.
