Exploring Operational Strategies and Utilization Plans for AI Learning Organizations
Busan Port Authority (BPA, President Kang Junseok) has established and begun implementing an 'AI Talent Development Plan' to swiftly respond to the era of accelerated digital transformation and to enhance the AI technology utilization capabilities of its organizational members.
The core of this plan is the operation of an in-house AI learning organization (CoP) composed of internal employees. BPA has formed a learning organization by gathering 17 practitioners from various job fields within the company. These members will complete specialized training in AI technology and explore ways to utilize AI within the organization to improve work efficiency.
The learning organization aims to produce deliverables such as: ▲ a practical AI manual that can be universally applied to all job functions ▲ identification of job areas where AI should be prioritized and detailed utilization plans ▲ potential issues and solutions that may arise during AI implementation.
The learning organization will officially begin its activities starting with a kickoff on the 4th. BPA plans to share the outcomes of the learning organization company-wide and actively promote the application of AI technology in its operations.
Kang Junseok, President of BPA, stated, "Securing the capability to utilize AI technology is essential to proactively respond to the rapidly changing digital environment," and added, "By operating an internal employee-centered AI learning organization, we will secure key talent to lead AI adoption within the organization and actively utilize new technologies to improve actual work efficiency."
