Kim Sung-tae, CEO of Industrial Bank of Korea, "Supporting SMEs to Overcome Crisis is the Top Priority"

IBK Industrial Bank announced that on the 4th, as part of strengthening on-site communication, it held an on-site meeting at the Suwon Chamber of Commerce and Industry, inviting 26 representatives of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) located in the southern Gyeonggi region.

The SME representatives attending the meeting expressed their opinions on management difficulties due to the continued high interest rates and sluggish facility investment, as well as the need to support companies with excellent technological capabilities. President Kim Seong-tae stated, “We have set supporting SMEs in overcoming crises as our top priority and will actively expand both financial and non-financial support. At the same time, we will do our best to secure future growth engines for SMEs and discover and nurture companies with outstanding technology.”

Following this, President Kim visited branches in the Suwon and Hwaseong areas to encourage employees who are doing their best to support SMEs and small business owners and to listen to on-site difficulties.

Meanwhile, IBK Industrial Bank is supporting SMEs in overcoming crises and achieving a new leap forward by preparing measures such as livelihood financial support plans to reduce the financial burden on self-employed and small business owners this year, and a special program to reduce financial costs for small corporations facing management difficulties due to economic downturn and high interest rates.
