The Rural Development Administration announced on the 4th that it has revamped and unveiled its institutional promotional mascots 'Isaki' and 'Saessaki,' originally developed in 2008, and will hold various commemorative events to celebrate this.

An official from the Rural Development Administration explained, "Isaki is a friendly representation of a hero born anew with the power of the rice ear growing atop its head, bringing vitality to agriculture and rural areas," adding, "Saessaki is conceptually portrayed as a secret agent who helps Isaki sow the seeds of life in the countryside."

The Rural Development Administration plans to actively utilize the newly announced mascots in digital content production such as on YouTube and other social networking services (SNS), as well as in the creation of various promotional materials and the establishment of photo zones. Through this, they aim to strengthen two-way communication with the public, build a positive institutional image, and conduct efficient promotional activities.

To commemorate the unveiling of the revamped mascots, the Rural Development Administration will hold various on-site events at the '2024 Agricultural Technology Expo' held from the 11th to the 14th at KINTEX in Ilsan. Participants who subscribe to the Rural Development Administration’s Instagram and YouTube channels or post certification photos taken with Isaki on Instagram will be entered into a draw to receive fan merchandise such as doll keychains and character stickers.

O Gi-won, spokesperson for the Rural Development Administration, said, "We hope the newly reborn Isaki and Saessaki will establish themselves as official mascots and serve as a communication bridge across generations," adding, "Please look forward to the active role of Isaki and Saessaki in delivering the Administration’s research achievements and information in an easy and friendly manner while engaging actively with the public."
