Learning App 'Orzo' Operator Sling Selected for Google Window Program 6th Cohort

Up to 200 Million KRW Commercialization Funding
Google Growth Support Package Assistance

Sling, an edutech company operating the tablet learning app ‘Orzo,’ announced on the 4th that it has been selected for the 6th Google Changgu Program.

The Changgu Program is a project launched in 2019 by Google Play in collaboration with the Ministry of SMEs and Startups and the Korea Institute of Startup & Entrepreneurship Development to support the growth of startups. Sling was selected for its business performance and growth potential, recognized through its collaboration strategy with Google Play, performance achievement plans, and global expansion efforts.

As part of this selection, Sling will receive up to 200 million KRW in commercialization funds along with the Google growth support package, which includes ▲growth support seminars ▲in-depth consulting ▲customized counseling ▲networking and investment attraction support ▲Google Cloud credits.

Sling operates the tablet learning app ‘Orzo’ for high school students, equipped with its proprietary artificial intelligence (AI) engine, along with the learning management solution (LMS) ‘Orzo Class’ for teachers. Through Orzo, students can engage in digitalized learning by solving past exam questions related to the CSAT and school exams, as well as using features such as automatic grading, error notebooks, and study planners.

Based on its excellent learning convenience, Orzo has established itself as an essential study app for exam takers, ranking first in the overall free tablet app category on both major app markets, Google and Apple, in April this year. Currently, Orzo has accumulated 600,000 downloads and has 80,000 monthly active users (MAU).
