NHN announced on the 4th that it has launched the next-generation cloud-based parking management system, '365 Cloud' parking system, in collaboration with ParkingCloud.

The 365 Cloud, which completely revamped the existing PC-based parking system, was developed through collaboration between NHN's IoT Business Division and ParkingCloud, involving about 800 personnel over approximately three years and investing over 10 billion KRW in research and development.

The newly launched 365 Cloud is characterized by the complete removal of the management PC and server, which were central to the existing parking system. All entry/exit, settlement, and payment data are securely stored in real-time on the cloud, and this data can be remotely accessed, managed, and controlled anytime, anywhere, and on any device via the internet. All operations including settlement management, discounts, equipment control, and customer service are stably handled through the cloud.

Through 365 Cloud, it is expected that various major issues of the existing parking system such as ▲ data loss and operational errors caused by PC failures ▲ delayed recovery time due to PC reinstallation and database work ▲ personal information leakage and security vulnerabilities can be simultaneously resolved.

To commemorate the launch of 365 Cloud, ParkingCloud is temporarily running a customer appreciation promotion offering a 6-month rent-free benefit limited to 50 vehicles per month.

Ha Taenyeon, head of NHN IoT Business Division and CEO of ParkingCloud, stated, “In the existing parking management system, a lot of time and cost were spent on identifying causes and recovery due to management PC failures. We launched 365 Cloud to fundamentally solve these problems and to fully reflect the needs of client companies who hope for rapid recovery when issues occur.”

Meanwhile, ParkingCloud is a parking platform company operating the unmanned parking management brand iParking. It has a network of over 7,600 directly managed and affiliated parking lots nationwide. NHN, together with SK E&S, is a joint major shareholder of ParkingCloud and is cooperating on advancing AI parking control technology and expanding the electric vehicle charging business.
