Review of the 2023 Fiscal Year Settlement and the 1st Supplementary Budget Proposal for 2024
2024 Supplementary Budget at Approximately 133.5 Billion KRW, 15.31% Increase Over Existing Budget

The Seocho District Council (Chairman Oh Se-cheol) held the 334th 1st regular meeting on the 3rd, commencing a 29-day schedule.
During this regular meeting, the council plans to review the 2023 fiscal year settlement and approval of supplementary budget expenditures, conduct district administration questions, and examine the 1st supplementary budget amendment for revenue and expenditure for 2024.
At the 1st plenary session held that day, Chairman Oh Se-cheol gave the opening remarks, followed by District Mayor Jeon Seong-su’s administrative address and a proposal explanation regarding the 1st supplementary budget amendment for revenue and expenditure for 2024 (hereinafter referred to as the supplementary budget).
The scale of the supplementary budget is approximately 133.5 billion KRW, which is 15.31% of the existing budget of 872.2 billion KRW. Subsequently, the council resolved to appoint members to the Special Budget and Settlement Committee for the review of the 2023 fiscal year settlement, electing Park Jae-hyung as chairman and Lee Hyung-jun as vice chairman. The appointed members are Go Seon-jae, Kim Seong-ju, Oh Ji-hwan, Ahn Byung-du, Kang Yeo-jeong, Ha Seo-young, and Lee Eun-kyung.
Chairman Oh Se-cheol stated in his opening remarks, “Through the review of the settlement and supplementary budget, we will encourage well-executed projects and suggest improvements and alternatives for projects with insufficient results, fulfilling our role as a policy council. All 16 council members will work with one heart and one mind, unwaveringly striving for regional development and the happiness of district residents.”
Meanwhile, the council will review the settlement from the 3rd to the 14th and the supplementary budget from the 18th to the 27th. Based on the review results of the relevant standing committees, the settlement and supplementary budget will be finalized through the Budget and Accounts Committee and approved at the 4th plenary session on the 28th.
