Opening of Guro-gu Kids Healthcare Center 'Jungle Eye'

Opening Ceremony on the 3rd... Moon Heon-il, Guro-gu Mayor, Daycare Officials, and Over 50 Local Residents Attend
Official Operations Scheduled to Begin on July 12

Guro-gu (District Mayor Moon Heon-il) held the opening ceremony of the Kids Healthcare Center ‘Jungle Eye’ on the 3rd.

Guro-gu Kids Healthcare Center ‘Jungle Eye’ is an experiential facility exclusively for children, ambitiously established by the district to support healthy growth and development of children.

Through games, it is possible to measure seven major physical fitness areas: balance, cardiopulmonary endurance, flexibility, muscle strength, agility, muscular endurance, and coordination. It is also equipped with a big data analysis system related to basic physical fitness and health of infants and toddlers.

The opening ceremony was held with about 50 attendees including Moon Heon-il, Mayor of Guro-gu, daycare center officials, and local residents. The event proceeded with guidance, introduction of guests, progress report, greetings, congratulatory speeches, opening declaration, ribbon cutting, and commemorative photo session.

After the photo session, the guests toured the Jungle Eye’s seven physical fitness measurement programs and play areas together with children from local daycare centers who attended the ceremony.

Mayor Moon Heon-il of Guro-gu said, “Until a few years ago, there was a correctional facility here, but last May we opened the Gocheok Open Library, and this year we established the Kids Healthcare Center for infants and toddlers, which is very meaningful. We will strive to make this place a space where children can run freely and grow healthily.”
