Seo Gang-seok, District Mayor, “Leading the Spread of Integrity Culture, Implementing Administration Trusted by Residents”
Songpa-gu (Mayor Seo Gang-seok) announced that it will hold the ‘Integrity Festa Summer’ for three days from June 3 to 5 to foster a culture of respect and consideration within the organization and to spread the value of integrity.
Since taking office in the 8th term of the local government, Seo Gang-seok, Mayor of Songpa-gu, has urged public officials to comply with the ‘duty of integrity’ with the goal of realizing a ‘Trustworthy Songpa’ for residents. Accordingly, various efforts are being made to spread a culture of integrity that encompasses not only fair job performance but also a respectful and considerate organizational culture.
The ‘Integrity Festa Summer’ is held under the theme ‘Open Your Heart, Open Integrity’ to break down generational barriers and foster mutual understanding in order to create an integrity-based organizational culture suited to the changing times.
In particular, this Festa has prepared an ‘Integrity Cultural Tour’ targeting low-ranking MZ generation public officials. This cultural experience event is designed to help young public officials easily and enjoyably approach and understand the somewhat difficult topic of integrity.
The Integrity Cultural Tour, held on June 4 and 5, visits the historical sites of Dasan Jeong Yak-yong and Dosan Ahn Chang-ho, helping participants reflect on the lives and philosophies of these historical figures known for their integrity and establish a sense of integrity as public officials.
Along with this, the district has prepared various opportunities for all employees to feel and experience integrity in different ways.
On the first day of the Festa, June 3, starting with the ‘Integrity Morning Broadcast Challenge’ where district office employees become one-day DJs and host broadcasts themselves, an Integrity Experience Zone will be set up inside the government building. This includes the ‘Integrity Book Exhibition’ displaying books on organizational culture such as eradicating power abuse, and the ‘Integrity Four-Cut Photo Booth’ where employees record their unity and commitment to practicing integrity through photos.
From 4 p.m. that day, the ‘Integrity Communication Live Concert’ will be held. Under the theme of respect and communication, a ‘Sand Art Performance’ and an ‘Integrity Special Lecture’ are prepared. The lecture will invite author Lim Hong-taek, known for works such as ‘The 90s Generation is Coming’ and ‘Team Leader, Your Conditions,’ to provide practical tips for understanding generational characteristics that change with the times and for communication within organizations.
Seo Gang-seok, Mayor of Songpa-gu, stated, “The culture of integrity in changing times begins not only with fair job performance but also with innovation in an organizational culture that respects and considers each other. Through this Integrity Festa, we will once again reaffirm our commitment to integrity with public officials and do our best to realize a more trustworthy ‘Integrity Songpa.’”
