Institutional Measures for Taxation of Rural Homestay Status
Boryeong City in Chungnam recently announced on the 3rd that it received the grand prize at the Chungnam Local Taxation Workshop Local Tax Research Project Presentation Contest.
The city presented institutional measures for taxing the current status of rural guesthouses under the theme "Institutional Improvement Measures for Taxation of Rural Guesthouse Status," proposing ways to establish fairness between lodging facility operators and diligent taxpayers.
The city is scheduled to participate as Chungnam's representative in the nationwide local tax research project presentation contest at the Local Taxation Workshop hosted by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety this November.
Mayor Kim Dong-il said, "After a long period of field surveys and dedicated research on related laws, we achieved good results," adding, "Through continuous research, we will enhance our expertise and become a Boryeong City that contributes to the development of local taxation."
