"Our Busan Hope Summer Chak!Chak!Chak! Sharing Campaign" Kicks Off 45-Day Journey!

Neighbor Assistance Campaign Runs from 1st to July 15, Easy Participation via Sarangui Yeolmae, Broadcaster Fundraising, and ARS

Launch Ceremony at City Hall, 10:40 AM on the 3rd, Attended by Mayor Park Hyungjun and About 10 Representatives from Leading Busan Companies

On the morning of the 3rd at 10:40 AM, the city of Busan will hold the launch ceremony for the "Our Busan Hopeful Summer Chak!Chak!Chak! Sharing Campaign" at the City Hall Protocol Room.

This campaign is a neighbor-helping initiative that will run for 45 days from the 1st of this month to July 15th, aiming to regularize the annual nationwide campaign and promote a culture of everyday giving.


The launch ceremony will be attended by Mayor Park Hyungjoon, heads of major Busan-based companies, and about 10 others. The event will include the delivery of the first and group donations, a campaign launch support performance, and the distribution of the 2024 Cool Summer Fund.


The event, hosted by the Busan Community Chest of Korea, will also be attended by Mayor Park, individual major donors, and the president of the Busan Bar Association.


Notably, Mayor Park will participate as the first donor representing the city. Seven business leaders, including Yang Jaesaeng, Chairman of the Busan Chamber of Commerce and Industry; Choi Geumsik, Chairman of Busan Community Chest of Korea; Shin Jungtaek, Chairman of Sewoon Steel; Jung Sungwoo, Chairman of Busan Honor Club; Lee Junghwa, Chairman of Busan W Honor; Park Sungjin, CEO of SJ Tanker; and Byun Heeja, CEO of Learning Plus, will collectively donate 100 million KRW.


In addition, to help seniors in Busan have a cool summer, the Busan Community Chest of Korea will provide 200 million KRW to the Busan Senior Welfare Center Association, which will be used to supply summer products or cover electricity bills for selected recipients at each senior welfare center.


Mayor Park Hyungjoon stated, "I sincerely congratulate the launch of the summer sharing campaign 'Our Busan Hopeful Summer Chak!Chak!Chak! Sharing Campaign,'" and added, "The city will meticulously weave a welfare safety net to implement welfare policies that citizens can truly feel, ensuring a healthy summer for all."


Those wishing to participate in the campaign can easily join by contacting the Busan Community Chest of Korea, using the Love Fruit donation boxes located at nearby district and neighborhood offices, broadcasting station donation counters, or the automated response system (ARS).
