First Selection Since Forming Partnership
Lotte Chilsung Beverage announced on the 3rd that it achieved the most outstanding performance among Pepsico's global beverage bottling partners last year and was selected as the '2023 APAC Bottler of the Year (2023 Asia-Pacific Bottler of the Year)'.

Pepsico selects the Bottler of the Year annually through the IFC (International Franchise Convention) event, a platform for sharing and discussing global brand strategies. Currently, it comprehensively evaluates over 300 bottlers worldwide based on quality control, market strategy development and execution, and customer service.
At the 'IFC 2024' event held in Singapore on the 23rd of last month, Yoon-gi Park, CEO of Lotte Chilsung, Ramon Laguarta, CEO of Pepsico, and key executives involved in the bottling business worldwide attended. Among the Bottler of the Year awards divided into four regions, Lotte Chilsung was selected as the winner for the Asia, Australia, and New Zealand region. This is the first time Lotte Chilsung has been named Bottler of the Year since partnering with Pepsico in 1976.
A representative from Lotte Chilsung stated, "The selection as Bottler of the Year is the result of nearly 50 years of close partnership with Pepsico, the success of various new products, Lotte Chilsung Beverage's strict production management, and progressive market strategies," adding, "Going forward, Lotte Chilsung and Pepsico will continue to be excellent partners both domestically and internationally."
Meanwhile, bottlers receive beverage concentrates such as Pepsi-Cola and Mountain Dew from beverage manufacturers like Pepsico, add water and carbon dioxide to these concentrates to produce finished products, and handle distribution and sales in the domestic market. Since 1976, Lotte Chilsung has been the sole domestic bottler for Pepsico's global beverage division. Recently, it has been leading the zero-carbonated beverage market and expanding its global partnership with Pepsico not only domestically but also in the Philippines, Myanmar, and Pakistan.
