Democratic Party 33.8%, People Power Party 33.1%, Joguk Innovation Party 14.5%
President Yoon Suk-yeol's approval rating has remained in the low 30% range for eight consecutive weeks, failing to break out of the box range. Although the approval rating showed a slight improvement, the rebound was limited.
According to a public opinion poll released on the 3rd by Realmeter (commissioned by Energy Economy Newspaper, conducted from April 27 to 31 with 2,513 voters aged 18 and over nationwide, 97% wireless and 3% wired ARS method), President Yoon's approval rating for the 5th week of May (78 weeks since inauguration) was 30.6%, up 0.3 percentage points from the previous survey. Negative evaluations of his performance in office were 65.9%, down 0.2 percentage points from the previous survey.
Before the general election, President Yoon's approval rating was 37.3% (1st week of April), but it has remained in the low 30% range for eight weeks following the election defeat.
In a related poll on party support (commissioned by Energy Economy Newspaper, conducted from April 30 to 31 with 1,002 voters aged 18 and over nationwide, 97% wireless and 3% wired ARS method), the Democratic Party's support rate was 33.8%, down 0.1 percentage points from the previous week. The People Power Party dropped 2.1 percentage points to 33.1%, the Innovation Party rose 0.7 percentage points to 14.5%, and the Reform Party increased 0.5 percentage points to 5.3%.
