<기사제목>SMEs Central Association Signs Business Agreement with Hyundai Motor Company and E1

The Korea Federation of Small and Medium Business (Kbiz) announced on the 2nd that it has signed a business agreement with Hyundai Motor Company and E1 to expand welfare services for small businesses and small merchants subscribed to the Yellow Umbrella Fund and to support the supply of eco-friendly vehicles.

With the enforcement of the revised Air Quality Management Zone Act starting this year, the Porter 1-ton diesel model, which is most commonly used by small businesses and small merchants, was discontinued at the end of last year, and LPG and EV models were newly launched. In line with the eco-friendly transition of cargo vehicles, Kbiz aims to promote the co-growth of small businesses and small merchants by supporting their economical vehicle purchase and operation, and has decided to join forces with the two companies to expand the supply of eco-friendly energy vehicles.

Under this agreement, Hyundai Motor Company will provide an additional discount of 500,000 KRW on top of the general discount when Yellow Umbrella subscribers purchase a new Porter EV, and an additional discount of 200,000 KRW for new Porter LPG vehicles.

E1 will specially provide 100,000 Orange Points that can be used immediately at LPG charging stations to Yellow Umbrella subscribers who take delivery of a new Porter LPG vehicle, and will offer a dedicated membership card that accumulates 30 points per 1,000 KRW spent.

The special discount benefits will apply from June 3rd when Yellow Umbrella subscribers take delivery of new Hyundai Motor Porter (EV, LPG) vehicles, and subscribers must submit their Yellow Umbrella Fund subscription certificate and business registration certificate at the time of vehicle purchase contract.

Lee Chang-ho, Head of the Fund Operations Division at Kbiz, said, “This agreement signed with Hyundai Motor Company and E1 is meaningful not only for realizing the value of co-growth and public interest through large companies supporting small businesses and small merchants, but also for providing practical benefits related to livelihood maintenance to Yellow Umbrella subscribers.” He added, “We will continue to expand broad and practical welfare services for small business and small merchant subscribers.”

Meanwhile, the Yellow Umbrella Fund operated by Kbiz, launched in 2007, currently has 1.7 million registered small business and small merchant subscribers. It serves as a social safety net for small businesses and small merchants by offering up to 5 million KRW in annual income tax deductions and protection from fund seizure. It also provides various welfare services to subscribers, including free management consulting in legal, tax, and labor matters, discounted rates at recreational facilities, capacity-building education, and group accident insurance enrollment.
