Eldest Jin Discharged After 12 Days of Service
Attends BTS 11th Debut Anniversary Event
The group BTS is making a comeback. The start will be led by the eldest member Jin, who is being discharged on the 12th.
According to their agency Big Hit Music on the 2nd, Jin will begin official schedules the day after his discharge. He will attend the offline event "2024 FESTA," held around Seoul Jamsil Sports Complex on June 13, the anniversary of BTS's debut.
"FESTA" is a festival where BTS meets with fans to celebrate their debut day, June 13. The "2024 FESTA," commemorating BTS's 11th anniversary, runs from June 2 to 13. Jin will participate in the fan event held at the Seoul Jamsil Indoor Gymnasium during this period.
Big Hit Music explained, "This event was arranged based on Jin's suggestion to spend meaningful time close to ARMY (BTS fandom)."
The fan event consists of "Jin's Greetings" (Part 1) and "Seokjin on June 13, 2024, Weather Clear" (Part 2). In Part 1, a hug session will be held for 1,000 fans, and in Part 2, there will be segments where ARMY can see various sides of Jin that they want to see. For fans who cannot attend in person, Part 2 will be live-streamed on Weverse exclusively for BTS membership subscribers.
Among the seven BTS members, Jin was the first to enlist in December 2022 and has been serving as an instructor at the Army's 5th Division Recruit Training Battalion. During the "2023 FESTA," which he could not attend due to military service, he promised, "Next year, I will come to see you all." Big Hit Music stated, "Jin will ignite the signal for activities in the second half of the year together with ARMY, raising expectations for a new chapter of BTS as a complete group."
Currently, all seven members, including Jin, RM, J-Hope, Suga, Jimin, Jungkook, and V, are serving in the military.
