A man in his 30s has been booked without detention after causing a fatal accident by rear-ending a tractor in the late afternoon.
According to the Miryang Police Station in Gyeongnam on the 31st, a man in his 30s, identified as A, is accused of causing the death of the tractor driver by crashing into the vehicle from behind.
The incident occurred at around 8:20 p.m. the previous day on a two-lane national highway in Paseori, Hanam-eup, Miryang, when A crashed his passenger car into a tractor that was driving ahead of him.
As a result of the accident, the tractor driver, a man in his 60s identified as B, suffered severe injuries and died at the scene.
A reportedly stated, "It was dark in the area, so I did not see the tractor in front of me."
It has been determined that A was not under the influence of alcohol, nor was his license suspended or revoked at the time of the accident.
The police are currently investigating the exact circumstances of the accident, questioning A and other witnesses.
