Yeosu City and GS Caltex Promote 'Multicultural Mind Talk Support Project'

Support Program for Mental Health Improvement of Multicultural Children and Parents

GS Caltex Sponsors 30 Million Won for the Project

Yeosu City, Jeollanam-do (Mayor Jeong Gi-myeong) announced that it will launch the 'Mind Talk Talk for Multicultural Children in Yeosu Area' emotional support project in collaboration with GS Caltex and Good Neighbors Gwangju-Jeonnam Regional Headquarters.


According to the city, on the afternoon of the 29th, a donation ceremony was held in the mayor's office attended by Mayor Jeong Gi-myeong, Kim Ki-eung, Head of External Cooperation at GS Caltex, and Lee Yun-ho, Head of Good Neighbors Gwangju-Jeonnam Regional Headquarters, where GS Caltex donated 30 million won to the 'Yeosu Area Multicultural Children Mind Talk Talk Project.'

The 'Multicultural Children Mind Talk Talk' project, which Yeosu City and GS Caltex have been promoting since 2021, targets multicultural family children residing in Yeosu who require psychological and emotional intervention, providing psychological therapy, parental counseling, and other support to promote their emotional stability.


At the donation ceremony, Kim Ki-eung, Head of External Cooperation at GS Caltex, said, “Through this project, we hope that multicultural family children will settle well in the local community and grow into healthy members of society. We will continue to carry out social contribution activities where help is needed in the region.”


Mayor Jeong Gi-myeong of Yeosu said, “As the number of multicultural families in our region increases, social interest and support for them are necessary, and we are truly grateful for GS Caltex's sponsorship. We ask for continued interest and support for the children who will be the future leaders.”
