"It's Not a Concert, It's 'Yadong'... Madonna Sued Again Amid Frequent Controversies"

Includes Scenes Imitating Sexual Acts
Also Started Concert 2 Hours Late
"Breach of Contract and Compensation for Emotional Distress Required"

Lawsuits are piling up regarding the concert of 'Queen of Pop' Madonna (65). The concert, originally scheduled to start at 8 PM, began after 10 PM, and there are claims that the concert content included sexually offensive material.

On the 30th (local time), US entertainment media TMZ reported, "Justin Ripelles, who attended Madonna's concert held on March 7 in Inglewood, California, filed a lawsuit in court claiming that he and other concertgoers were deceived by Madonna and the event organizers." The report also stated that Madonna should compensate for damages including breach of contract, false advertising, and emotional distress.

Ripelles claimed, "The concert, which was scheduled to start at 8:30 PM, only began after 10 PM," and "After Madonna took the stage, she demanded the air conditioning be turned off, causing the audience to suffer from the heat." When the audience shouted to turn the air conditioning back on, Madonna allegedly ignored them, cursing and saying, "I'm cold. If you're hot, take off your clothes."

He further alleged that Madonna performed the concert with lip-syncing, mocking the audience who paid expensive ticket prices, and forced them to watch women exposing their breasts while simulating sexual acts on stage. Ripelles criticized, "Forcing the audience to wait for hours in a hot and uncomfortable venue and exposing them to obscene material without warning proves Madonna's disrespect towards her fans," adding, "It felt like watching a pornographic film."

According to the lawsuit, Madonna initially apologized for being late to the concert, saying, "Sorry for being late," but then reversed her statement, saying, "No, I'm not sorry. That's who I am. I'm always late." This was not Madonna's first time being late to a concert. In December last year, she was sued by two audience members at a concert held at the Barclays Center in New York for being over two hours late. Regarding this, Madonna's legal team argued, "A reasonable concertgoer understands that concert times can vary due to various factors." Additionally, a man from Florida filed a lawsuit in November 2019 after Madonna started her concert two hours late, making it impossible for him to attend, but withdrew the lawsuit a month later. In February 2020, two audience members in Brooklyn, New York, also filed a lawsuit due to a concert delayed by more than two hours. This lawsuit was withdrawn five months later following an agreement between the plaintiff and defendant.
