According to the police, at around 7:40 a.m. on the 12th, Sergeant Lee Chang-gyun and Officer Park Jeong-gyo of the Heukseok Precinct, who were on patrol for 112, received a report stating, "I left my bag in a private taxi, and it contains 1 million won in cash," and they rushed to the front of Chung-Ang University Hospital.

The reporter at the time said that since the payment was made in cash, the taxi number was unknown, and they earnestly requested that the bag containing the anticancer drugs be found rather than the cash. Sergeant Lee and Officer Park requested CCTV footage of taxis moving around Chung-Ang University Hospital and identified the taxi number the reporter had boarded.

Based on the identified taxi number, Officer Park checked the taxi driver's phone number, and about 40 minutes later, met the taxi driver in front of Chung-Ang University Hospital and was able to safely recover the 1 million won in cash and the anticancer drugs.

Kim Seung-hyuk, chief of Dongjak Police Station, sympathized with the reporter's story and commended Officer Park of the Heukseok Precinct for handling the case with a prompt and proactive attitude, and awarded a letter of appreciation to the taxi driver who helped find the lost items despite being engaged in his livelihood.
