"Goodbye to smoking, start now"... Eunpyeong-gu operates a smoking cessation clinic. Provided by Eunpyeong-gu.
The Eunpyeong-gu Public Health Center in Seoul (District Mayor Kim Mi-kyung) operates a smoking cessation clinic that any resident wishing to quit smoking can apply for.
The "Eunpyeong-gu Smoking Cessation Clinic" is a program where a professional smoking cessation counselor provides one-on-one individual counseling for six months on the first floor of the Eunpyeong-gu Public Health Center. It is completely free of charge and offers nicotine dependence tests, smoking measurements, and after the tests, provides smoking cessation aids and behavioral reinforcement items. To motivate participants, commemorative gifts are given to those who successfully quit smoking.
For residents who find it difficult to visit, a "Mobile Smoking Cessation Clinic" is also operated. Groups of 10 or more people wishing to quit smoking can apply by calling the Eunpyeong-gu Public Health Center. The program consists of a total of five on-site counseling sessions over six weeks, followed by post-cessation success management.
Meanwhile, May 31 is "World No Tobacco Day." It was established in 1987 to raise awareness of the serious problems caused by tobacco and to create a tobacco-free society.
