Preparations for Russian President Vladimir Putin's visits to North Korea and Vietnam are reportedly progressing smoothly.
On the 30th (local time), Andrey, Deputy Foreign Minister of Russia, responded to questions about the preparation status for President Putin's visits to North Korea and Vietnam by saying it has "progressed." However, he did not mention specific dates for the visits.
Dmitry Peskov, Kremlin spokesperson, also stated in a briefing that President Putin is preparing for the North Korea visit and that "an announcement will be made in due course."
President Putin accepted the invitation from Kim Jong-un, Chairman of the State Affairs Commission of North Korea, following their summit in Russia's Far East in September last year.
In March, he accepted the proposal to visit Vietnam during a phone call with Nguyen Phu Trong, General Secretary of the Communist Party and the top-ranking official in Vietnam.
