Choi Ho-gwon, Mayor of Yeongdeungpo District, conducted the '2024 Disaster Response Safe Korea Drill' on the afternoon of the 30th in the Sin-gil 5-dong area.
This drill was carried out in cooperation with 10 related organizations, including Yeongdeungpo District Office, Seoul City Hall, Yeongdeungpo Fire Station, Yeongdeungpo Police Station, and the district's Autonomous Disaster Prevention Group. The Disaster Response Safe Korea Drill is conducted nationwide with the goal of enhancing practical response capabilities and systems for disaster situations through unannounced response exercises simulating crisis scenarios.
On this day, the district conducted a realistic drill assuming a complex disaster situation caused by heavy rain, focusing on reviewing the action manual and strengthening collaboration capabilities with related organizations.
Choi Ho-gwon, Mayor of Yeongdeungpo District, stated, “With unexpected disasters such as sudden heavy rain occurring recently, it is more important than anything else to establish a swift and flawless response system,” and added, “Based on this drill, we will do our best to strengthen disaster response capabilities to protect the district and its residents.”
