Samjin Pharmaceutical Relaunches Saline Solution 'Sebian'

Samjin Pharmaceutical announced on the 30th that it will relaunch the packaging of its preservative-free sterile saline solution 'Sebian' irrigation solution.

The renewed Sebian packaging applies a more concise font to make it easier to understand and use the indications for each disease. In addition, to emphasize the characteristics of being produced in a sterile facility and being a preservative-free medicine, the front of the package was renewed using clean colors and images.

Samjin Pharmaceutical's Sebian is a sterile saline solution used for cleaning the nose, eyes, wound areas, lens cleaning, and skin care. It is an over-the-counter drug released in small packages to allow versatile use of irrigation saline for medical purposes. It has passed five irrigation tests including purity and sterility tests, ensuring safe management for cleaning various mucous membrane areas and hygiene in daily life.

When the nose is rinsed with saline solution, various inflammatory mediators such as mucus and allergens in the nasal cavity can be removed, reducing rhinitis symptoms and improving mucociliary function to reduce the penetration of viruses and bacteria. For lenses frequently worn in the eyes, improper cleaning can cause foreign body sensation, decreased vision, and redness, so it is essential to rinse with sterile saline solution before and after using moisturizing drops. Moreover, Sebian can also be used for skin conditions such as contact dermatitis caused by mask-wearing, atopic dermatitis, and eczema.

Preservative-free sterile saline solution can allow bacteria and other microbes to proliferate after 24 hours, so the entire contents must be used once opened, and any remaining solution discarded. Samjin Pharmaceutical's Sebian is released in small 20ml packages to reduce the risk of bacterial growth and features a soft high-density polyethylene packaging, which is more convenient than the hard polypropylene packaging of other saline products.
