Korea Exchange Hosts KOSDAQ Global Segment Expo

The Korea Exchange announced on the 30th that it held the '2024 KOSDAQ Global Segment Expo' jointly with the KOSDAQ Association and the Korea IR Council at its Seoul headquarters' PR center and conference hall.

At the event, 28 companies including Soulbrain Holdings, Alteogen, HK Innoen, and Kakao Games participated in group meetings and joint investor relations (IR) presentations.

Held for the second time following last year, the event saw participation from ESG evaluation organizations such as the Korea ESG Standards Institute, Korea ESG Research Institute, Sustainvest, and the SME Accounting Support Center, providing consulting on ESG management, evaluation, and accounting tasks to participating companies.

A Korea Exchange official explained, "Over 130 domestic and international institutional investors, including pension funds, Goldman Sachs, J.P. Morgan, Korea Investment & Securities, and Samsung Asset Management, participated," adding, "Interest and expectations from institutional investors toward the KOSDAQ market are increasing, especially centered on leading blue-chip companies."

Jung Eun-bo, Chairman of the Korea Exchange, stated in his opening remarks, "KOSDAQ Global Segment companies are representative KOSDAQ firms demonstrating excellent performance," and added, "By actively supporting value-up programs for KOSDAQ, we will help KOSDAQ companies achieve sustainable growth and receive proper evaluation." He also urged, "We ask global segment companies to join the value-up efforts."

Oh Heung-sik, Chairman of the KOSDAQ Association, said, "KOSDAQ Global Segment companies will play an important role in leading the value-up culture among KOSDAQ companies," and added, "The KOSDAQ Association will actively participate in spreading corporate value-up programs in cooperation with the Exchange."
