This competition, organized to cultivate a spirit of respect for life through improving initial response capabilities to cardiac arrest and promoting CPR, featured 38 teams that won first place in their respective categories at the preliminary rounds held across 19 cities and provinces nationwide.

Participating teams performed short plays depicting cardiac arrest situations and response actions, and judges determined the rankings by combining scores for the accuracy of CPR and automated external defibrillator (AED) use, stage expression, and audience evaluation.

The Jungmun High School team, awarded the Prime Minister's Prize for achieving first place nationwide, received excellent evaluations by attracting audience popularity through outstanding theme delivery, expressive ability, completeness of role-play composition, and professionalism in CPR.

Kim Dahae and six other students from Jungmun High School who participated in the competition said, "We are proud to have won first place in a competition representing Jeju," and added, "We want to continue raising awareness about the importance of CPR to more people and work together to create a safer Jeju."

Head of Headquarters, Go Minja, stated, "If the first witness in a cardiac arrest situation immediately performs CPR, the survival rate improves miraculously," and emphasized, "The importance of CPR cannot be overstated. We will continue to do our best to widely promote the importance of CPR among residents and foster a culture of respect for life."
