Jangseong-gun Public Health Center in Jeollanam-do has been designated as an organ transplant registration agency and is accepting registrations from those wishing to donate organs.
According to the county on the 30th, organ donation is a declaration of intent to donate one's organs to other patients unconditionally at the final moment of life. When a registered donor reaches brain death, the donation is carried out with the consent of one first-priority family member.
To register as an organ donation hopeful, visit the Jangseong-gun Public Health Center to fill out an application form or apply after identity verification on the website of the National Organ, Tissue and Blood Management Service under the Ministry of Health and Welfare.
A county official said, "We plan to provide benefits such as exemption from funeral facility usage fees to residents who apply for organ donation registration."
