LX Hausys Launches New Flooring Product 'Edition Maru'

On the 30th, LX Hausys announced the launch of a new flooring product, ‘LX Z:IN (LX Jiin) Flooring EDITONE MARU,’ which offers enhanced durability and thermal conductivity compared to traditional wooden flooring.

‘EDITONE MARU’ is a new flooring product in the ‘EDITONE’ series, featuring LX Hausys’ self-developed high-strength material called ‘Natural Stone Core’ (a board compressed at high temperature and pressure using natural stone powder and polymer resin).

Unlike conventional wooden flooring, ‘EDITONE MARU’ uses the ‘Natural Stone Core’ material for the core layer instead of plywood, and applies a high-resolution flooring design layer on top. This maintains the design of traditional wooden flooring while improving the biggest drawback of wooden floors?dents.

According to impact resistance tests based on KS standards (KS F 2221), when objects such as steel balls and knives were dropped from a height of 1 meter, ‘EDITONE MARU’ showed no dents or depressions, unlike the company’s existing strong flooring (7.5T), which exhibited dent marks.

‘EDITONE MARU’ boasts high thermal conductivity optimized for Korea’s underfloor heating and floor-sitting lifestyle. Thermal conductivity tests conducted by the accredited testing institution Korea Construction Material Testing & Research Institute (KCMIC) showed that ‘EDITONE MARU’ has approximately four times higher thermal conductivity compared to the company’s strong flooring.

Additionally, considering the rapidly increasing number of pet-owning households, ‘EDITONE MARU’ has also obtained the ‘Pet Product Certification (PS Certification).’ This certification is granted only to products that meet safety standards, including limits on harmful substances, designated by the Korea Kennel Club and KOTITI Testing & Research Institute.
