On the morning of the 30th, Jo Ok-hyun, chairman of the Education Committee of the Jeonnam Provincial Council, and employees of the Provincial Office of Education, who visited the Glocal Future Education Expo, attracted attention as they picked up trash left at the event venue.
On that day, Chairman Jo and the staff toured inside and outside the venue, picking up trash discarded by students. The expo venue had a considerable amount of trash such as disposable cups, empty water bottles, and tissues left behind after more than 40,000 people gathered the previous day.
Jeon Ok-hyun, a member of the Jeonnam Provincial Assembly, is picking up trash left behind by the Office of Education staff at the Glocal Future Education Expo venue.
A female student who witnessed this said, "I carelessly threw away a beverage bottle, but seeing them pick up the tissues we threw away made me feel ashamed. I will be more careful from now on."
Chairman Jo stated, "When many visitors come to the expo venue, trash naturally accumulates. We plan to collect trash continuously throughout the five-day expo schedule," adding, "Picking up trash is not something special but a duty that must be done."
