Training for Over 350 Parent Committee Members

Enhancing Trust and Satisfaction in School Meals

Haeundae Office of Education in Busan (Superintendent Won Migyeong) will conduct a capacity-building training session for more than 350 parent members of the 'School Meal Subcommittees' from elementary, middle, high, special, and various schools at 2 p.m. on the 31st via online (ZOOM).

This training aims to enhance understanding of the Busan Office of Education's school meal implementation plan and overall knowledge about school meals, thereby supporting more professional activities of the meal subcommittees.

On this day, Kwon Jinyoung, a nutrition teacher at Gangdong Elementary School, will give a lecture on 'The Role of Meal Subcommittee Members' and 'Operation and Monitoring of School Meals.'

The Haeundae Office of Education expects that this training, which aims to enhance the expertise of parent members and activate parental participation, will increase trust and satisfaction regarding school meals.

Won Migyeong, Superintendent of the Haeundae Office of Education, said, "Parent committee members are joint stakeholders in creating safe school meals, so I ask for your active participation in parental inspection and meal monitoring. The Office of Education will also make greater efforts to provide school meals that satisfy both students and parents, who are the primary consumers of school meals."
