Gyeonggi Housing and Urban Corporation is attracting attention by promoting a vertical garden wall greening project as part of air purification efforts.
Gyeonggi Housing and Urban Corporation (GH) will create vertical garden wall greening using Public Procurement Service innovative products at the Dongtan 2 Shindong Fore Gyeonggi Happy Housing residential complex, scheduled for occupancy at the end of June.
GH will establish wall greening on approximately 100㎡ of the stairway wall at the entrance of the commercial area (Youth Mall) within Dongtan 2 Shindong Fore Gyeonggi Happy Housing, expecting it to greatly help air purification by removing fine dust and absorbing carbon dioxide.
Additionally, GH explained that by applying patented automatic irrigation and drainage system technology, a consistent supply of moisture is possible, making year-round greening not difficult, and the control box can be easily operated, facilitating maintenance.
A GH official stated, "By utilizing Public Procurement Service innovative products, we contribute to the government's public procurement system, and through the creation of wall greening, it will greatly aid air purification and the formation of an eco-friendly landscape."
