Dong-Eui University Graduate School of National Safety Policy and Department of Police Administration Host Special Lecture by Korea Meteorological Administration Chief

Lecture on "Climate Crisis and National Response to Natural Disasters"

The Graduate School of National Safety Policy at Dong-Eui University (Dean: Kim Sangwon) and the Department of Police Administration (Head: Joo Seongbin) held a special lecture by Yoo Heedong, Administrator of the Korea Meteorological Administration, at the Seokdang Art Hall in the International Building on the 28th.


The special lecture, held under the theme "Climate Crisis and National Response to Natural Disasters," was attended by about 200 people, including students from the Department of Police Administration, the Department of Fire and Disaster Prevention Administration, the Department of Dental Hygiene, graduate students of the Graduate School of National Safety Policy, and professors.


In his lecture, Yoo Heedong, Administrator of the Korea Meteorological Administration, stated, "In order to respond wisely to the climate crisis, it is very important to make predictions based on scientific data from the past 100 years," and emphasized, "In an environment where extreme weather events have high prediction uncertainty, thorough preparedness for disasters and policies that enable each citizen to take real action are necessary."
