"Value Consumption of Hanwoo Too"… Lotte Department Store's 'Eco-Friendly Hanwoo Expo'

Supply of 30 Eco-friendly Organic Hanwoo Cattle from Sancheong-gun

Lotte Department Store announced on the 29th that it will hold an 'Eco-friendly Hanwoo Expo' in June to commemorate 'Organic Day (2nd)' and 'Environment Day (5th)'.

First, on Organic Day, June 2nd, a total of 15 tons of high-quality organic Hanwoo beef will be specially planned and showcased. The organic Hanwoo featured this time is raised in Chahwang-myeon, Sancheong-gun, Gyeongnam, designated as a 'Wide-area Eco-friendly Agricultural Complex,' and is fed exclusively with non-genetically modified (NON-GMO) crops and organic agricultural products. Chahwang-myeon, Sancheong-gun, is a pristine area where all local farms practice eco-friendly organic farming methods, and approximately 30 Hanwoo cattle from this area were carefully selected and sourced exclusively for this event.

Additionally, at this 'Eco-friendly Hanwoo Expo,' carefully selected high-quality 'Low-carbon Hanwoo' will be offered at discounts of up to 40%. The 'Low-carbon Hanwoo' comes from farms in Gochang-gun, Jeollabuk-do, officially certified as 'Low-carbon,' and is an eco-friendly Hanwoo that reduces carbon emissions by more than half compared to the global average. Through quality improvement, the raising period has been shortened by up to 30%, reducing carbon emissions, and the earlier slaughter time results in tender and soft meat.
