Actress Han Ye-seul shared her experience of facing 'discrimination' while enjoying her honeymoon in Italy.

On the 27th, Han Ye-seul wrote on her Instagram, "I experienced discrimination here and was genuinely upset." She also posted a photo of a hotel in Italy, presumed to be where she stayed with her husband.

She continued, "As a hotel guest, I reserved a terrace seat at the beach club, but the hotel seated me in a different spot that was not designated for hotel guests," adding, "However, there was no explanation or apology."

She further explained, "They knew I was a hotel guest and confirmed my reservation. Even though it was not fully booked, they said it was, and although the terrace was not closed, they said the door was shut."

Han Ye-seul lamented, "The hotel said they only started taking reservations a day before, but I had already made my reservation the previous day," and added, "In the end, I was only able to use the terrace after filing a complaint about the discrimination."

Han Ye-seul also revealed the usage fees for each terrace seat at the hotel. The hotel she pointed out for discrimination applied a tiered pricing system for seats, and among them, Han Ye-seul had reserved the most expensive seat, the 'Terrace Dior.' Despite this, she experienced discrimination from the hotel.

Netizens who read Han Ye-seul’s story shared similar experiences of discrimination during overseas travel. One netizen commented, "There are often cases of racial discrimination in European countries," and advised, "It's good to always leave hotel reviews and check ratings when making reservations."

A netizen who appeared to be a local Italian also offered an apology on behalf of the country. This netizen said, "As an Italian, I regret that you had to go through this," and added, "The government should work to resolve discrimination issues, but it seems they don't pay much attention to it."

Meanwhile, Han Ye-seul had previously revealed in 2021 that she was dating a boyfriend 10 years her junior. The couple reportedly had a public relationship for three years before recently registering their marriage.
