Daejeon 21 Companies Promise 'Good Workplace' Including Work Environment Improvement

On the 28th, Daejeon City held a ceremony at Hotel ICC to announce commitments with 21 companies participating in the Daejeon-style labor-management win-win model 'Good Workplace' project, and awarded plaques of recognition to 18 companies excelling in fulfilling their 2023 commitments.

The 21 companies, including JOTEC Co., Ltd., will carry out implementation tasks by December aimed at improving working methods through labor-management cooperation and creating quality jobs. The commitments include four mandatory tasks?improving safety and health management, enhancing working conditions, workplace awareness improvement training, etc.?and six optional tasks such as creating youth jobs.

Meanwhile, among the 30 companies that participated in the Good Workplace project last year, the average weekly working hours were reduced by 2.5 hours, 493 new workers were hired, and 76 non-regular workers were converted to regular positions, achieving significant results. Among them, 18 outstanding companies received Good Workplace plaques (valid for 3 years) and incentives.
