Pyeongtaek City Raises Discount Rate of 'Pyeongtaek Sarang Gift Certificate' from 6% to 7%

From the 1st of next month until the spending limit is reached
Discount purchase limit raised from 700,000 to 800,000 won

Pyeongtaek City in Gyeonggi Province announced on the 28th that from the 1st of next month until the end of the year, the incentive discount rate for the local currency, Pyeongtaek Sarang Gift Certificate, will be raised from the existing 6% to 7%, and the monthly purchase limit per person will be increased from the current 700,000 KRW (500,000 KRW for card type, 200,000 KRW for paper type) to 800,000 KRW (600,000 KRW for card type, 200,000 KRW for paper type).

This incentive adjustment is being promoted to revitalize the local economy. With this adjustment, the monthly incentive benefit per person will increase by 14,000 KRW, from the previous 42,000 KRW to 56,000 KRW. This incentive expansion may end early if the budget is exhausted.

A city official stated, "We plan to review the payment limit adjustments by monitoring spending trends according to financial conditions," adding, "We hope this incentive expansion will lead to increased sales for local small business owners and help revitalize the local economy."
