Busan Office of Education Holds Training for Principals on 'Student-Centered Integrated Support Program'

Effective Personalized Support for 311 Elementary and Middle School Principals

The Busan Metropolitan Office of Education will hold a training session at 10 a.m. on the 29th at the Grand Moment Classic Hall for 311 principals of elementary and middle schools participating in the Education Welfare Priority Support Project, aiming to enhance their understanding of the 'Student-Centered Integrated Support Project.'

This project seeks to transform the current fragmented support system into a student-centered integrated support system, and to assist the holistic growth of students by facilitating early identification, intervention, and community linkage for students experiencing difficulties.

The city education office has organized this training to improve school administrators' understanding of the project and to establish a 'student-centered integrated support' system.

For this session, Park Jiaee, an official from the Ministry of Education's Education Welfare Policy Division, has been invited to give a special lecture on 'Trends in Education Welfare Policy and the Necessity of the Student-Centered Integrated Support Project.'

Following this, Shin Yeonok, principal of Seoul Banghwa Elementary School, will share customized support methods and effective project management strategies based on real-life case studies from the field.

Ha Yoonsoo, Superintendent of the Busan Metropolitan Office of Education, stated, "This training will be very helpful in establishing a system to effectively support students facing difficulties in schools," and added, "The city education office will do its best to provide tailored support to meet the diverse needs of students and school sites."

Last year, the Busan Office of Education promoted this project by operating one leading school and one pilot education support office. This year, the scope has been expanded to seven leading schools and five pilot education support offices.
