Get 12% Discount When Paying with Jinju Love Gift Certificate on Baedal-e Jinju, Including Cashback

Jinju City in Gyeongnam Province announced that its project to promote the Jinju-type delivery app, "Baedal-ui Jinju," has been selected for the Ministry of the Interior and Safety's 2024 Local Love Gift Certificate Policy Project, securing 60 million KRW in national funding.

The "Baedal-ui Jinju" activation project offers a 5% cashback when payments are made with (mobile) Jinju Love Gift Certificates on the "Baedal-ui Jinju" app. Consumers can enjoy a total discount of 12%, including a 7% pre-discount when purchasing Jinju Love Gift Certificates.

The project period runs from July to December, but may end early if the budget is exhausted. Consumers can receive the cashback benefit without any separate application process.

Jinju Love Gift Certificates were issued in the amounts of 37 billion KRW in January, March, and May, and an additional 39 billion KRW will be issued in July, September, October, and November. If the certificates are not sold out in the month of issuance, they can be purchased in the following month as well.

The Jinju-type delivery app "Baedal-ui Jinju" was launched on April 8, 2021, as a public delivery app operated with low commission fees to ease the management burden on small business owners. Currently, there are about 1,200 affiliated stores and approximately 41,000 members. The transaction volume was 1.5 billion KRW in 2022, 4.5 billion KRW in 2023, and has reached 1.3 billion KRW so far in 2024.

A city official stated, "We hope that the Jinju-type delivery app 'Baedal-ui Jinju,' which provides income growth for small business owners and a 12% discount benefit plus a 30% income tax deduction for consumers, will become even more active through this project aimed at easing the management burden on small business owners and revitalizing the local economy."

Small business owners who wish to join "Baedal-ui Jinju" can apply to the customer center by preparing the required documents (a copy of the business registration certificate and a copy of the bank account).
