The Private School Teachers' Pension Service announced on the 28th that "to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the founding of the Private School Pension, an academic seminar celebrating the 50th anniversary will be held on the 29th at the newly constructed Private School Pension building, Yeouido TP Tower."
This seminar will be held under the theme "A New Leap for the Private School Pension and Coexistence with Future Generations." Pension experts from academia, including private advisory committee members of the National Assembly Pension Special Committee, will participate to discuss the sustainability of the Private School Pension.
Professor Yang Jae-jin of Yonsei University, who will give a presentation, plans to reflect on the growth history accumulated over the past 50 years of the Private School Pension and suggest the direction for the next 50 years under the theme "Private School Pension, the Next 100 Years: Challenges and Tasks."
The discussion panel will include Professor Kim Yeon-myeong of Chung-Ang University, chair of the private advisory committee of the National Assembly Pension Special Committee and moderator, along with Professor Seok Jae-eun of Hallym University, Professor Nam Chan-seop of Dong-A University, Professor Kim Young-mi of Sangmyung University, and Professor Park Jung-soo of Ewha Womans University.
Song Ha-jung, Chairman of the Private School Pension, said, "Beyond the 50 years we have shared, I hope that in-depth discussions on the sustainability of the Private School Pension will proceed for the upcoming 50 years to be spent with future generations." On the following day of the academic seminar, June 30, a ceremony commemorating the 50th anniversary of the Private School Pension and the opening of TP Tower will be held at Yeouido TP Tower.
