KOSHA-MS Certification Obtained... Prioritizing Worker Safety
The National Institute of Biological Resources in the Honam Region, under the Ministry of Environment, announced on the 28th that it has successfully obtained certification from the Korea Occupational Safety and Health Agency and implemented the Occupational Health and Safety Management System (KOSHA-MS).
The Occupational Health and Safety Management System (KOSHA-MS) is a management system based on international standards (ISO 45001) and the domestic Industrial Safety and Health Act, reflecting systematic measures to create a safe working environment.
This certification recognizes the National Institute of Biological Resources in the Honam Region for establishing a safety management culture and prioritizing safety above all for all executives and employees.
In particular, it is evaluated that since the institute's establishment in 2020, efforts have resulted in the achievement of no major industrial accidents.
Ryu Tae-cheol, Director of the National Institute of Biological Resources in the Honam Region, stated, “This certification of the Occupational Health and Safety Management System acknowledges the foundation of safety and health management for the public and workers, and we will use this opportunity to create a zero-accident workplace that prioritizes safety above all.”
The National Institute of Biological Resources in the Honam Region will continue to strengthen the safety and health culture through regular education and training, do its best to ensure the safety of workers, create a better working environment, and fulfill its role as an institution responsible to society.
