AhnLab announced on the 28th that its blockchain subsidiary, AhnLab Blockchain Company, and Uppsala Security, a blockchain security specialist headquartered in Singapore, have signed a strategic partnership agreement (MOU) for security technology cooperation.
This agreement was made to collaborate on next-generation virtual asset anti-money laundering (AML) security technology. The companies will work to establish a secure virtual asset security system for domestic institutions, enterprises, and individual users. Both parties plan to cooperate in ▲building virtual asset threat intelligence data ▲analyzing virtual asset incidents and conducting research and development (R&D) ▲researching and developing AI-based next-generation blockchain threat defense and detection technologies.
Additionally, the two companies plan to launch a next-generation virtual asset AML security service by July this year, utilizing virtual asset threat data collected from AhnLab Blockchain Company's blockchain intelligence service BigScan and wallet service, as well as Uppsala Security's virtual asset damage response center.
The upcoming next-generation virtual asset AML security service will combine the technologies of both companies and is characterized by supporting proactive measures in addition to the reactive measures provided by existing AML security services. It will broadly support the entire virtual asset security process, from preventing virtual asset hacking damage to reporting, notification, asset recovery, and money laundering analysis after damage occurs.
Kang Seok-gyun, CEO of AhnLab Blockchain Company, said, "Through this collaboration, we will build an integrated virtual asset security system that supports everything from prevention to post-incident response and asset recovery by combining the abundant data and artificial intelligence (AI) technologies of both companies. We expect to provide a safer virtual asset environment for domestic users."
