Korea, the United States, and Japan will hold the 13th Foreign Ministers' Meeting in the United States on the afternoon of the 31st (local time).
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on the 27th, First Vice Foreign Minister Kim Hong-gyun will depart to attend the '13th Korea-US-Japan Foreign Ministers' Meeting' held near Washington DC, USA.
From the US side, Deputy Secretary of State Kurt Campbell will attend, and from Japan, Okano Masataka, Vice Minister for Foreign Affairs, will participate.
The foreign ministers of the three countries plan to have broad and in-depth discussions on regional and global challenges including North Korea and the North Korean nuclear issue, strategic competition, Indo-Pacific regional cooperation, and economic, technological, and energy partnerships.
This meeting will be the first in 1 year and 3 months since February last year.
