Jeju West Fire Station Conducts Fire Prevention Safety Consulting at Large Construction Sites

Jeju Western Fire Station (Chief Ko Jeong-bae) announced on the 27th that it recently visited a large-scale construction site located in Aewol-eup to conduct safety consulting for fire prevention.

This consulting was arranged to raise the voluntary safety awareness of those involved by providing guidance on recent fire cases and checking temporary fire facilities, as negligence accounts for the majority of major fire causes at construction sites.

Chief Ko Jeong-bae stated, “Small sparks generated during on-site work such as welding and cutting pose a high risk of spreading into a large fire due to the strong spring winds and the many combustible materials characteristic of construction sites,” and added, “Please strictly adhere to safety regulations during work.”
