According to the Gochang County Library on the 27th, 'Humanities on the Road' is a humanities program that combines lectures, experiences, and exploration of local humanities resources, containing content that fosters interest in humanities and wisdom for life. Each program receives a project fund of 10 million KRW.
The county has been selected for this project for 11 consecutive years, and this year, a total of four programs from three institutions, including private small libraries, were selected, expecting to provide diverse humanities reading programs to the residents.
At the Gochang County Library, programs such as ▲Finding UNESCO's 7 Treasures in Gochang ▲Picture Book School for Adults will be held; at Seongho Library, ▲‘Hanging Stories One After Another’; and at the private small library Book Scenery (located in Sillim-myeon), ▲‘A Humanities Journey to Find Myself’ will be conducted. Various humanities lectures, experiences, and local exploration programs are scheduled to start from July.
Na Yoon-ok, Director of Culture and Arts at Gochang County, said, “We have prepared various programs so that people of all ages can participate,” adding, “We hope many residents will join to understand the local humanities value and take an interest in the library.”
