Taekwang Group announced on the 27th that it conducted a special lecture on ChatGPT to promote the use of artificial intelligence (AI) for the 'Management Council,' the group's highest decision-making body composed of representatives from 12 major affiliates, as well as its employees. The group plans to hold a ChatGPT utilization competition in the future and broadly apply it to actual work.

During the two-day special lecture held on the 22nd and 24th, Cho Hye-jun, CEO of Humain, an AI data education specialist company, gave a lecture on the theme of 'Using ChatGPT to Improve Work Efficiency.'

CEO Cho explained concepts of generative AI and ChatGPT, efficient searching and investigation of work-related materials, data utilization methods, automation of repetitive operational tasks, and business optimization through predictive models.

Taekwang Group also plans to hold a competition to raise employees' awareness of ChatGPT. Additionally, it is exploring ways to apply ChatGPT practically in key tasks such as data analysis, marketing, human resources, and finance.

A Taekwang Group official stated, "AI utilization capabilities are directly linked to corporate competitiveness beyond just improving work efficiency," adding, "We will spare no effort in education and support so that employees can expand AI use in their actual work."

Taekwang Group's financial affiliates are accelerating digital transformation efforts, including strengthening the 'Insurtech' sector, which combines insurance and technology, by utilizing AI and other technologies.

Heungkuk Life Insurance commercialized the 'AI Document Recognition (AI OCR) System' in 2022, which automates the entire insurance claim process using AI, and recently launched a variable annuity product composed solely of funds operated by an AI robo-advisor. Heungkuk Fire & Marine Insurance signed a business partnership with Naver Cloud to jointly cooperate on building insurance systems and services based on public cloud and discovering new business opportunities.
