Korea Racing Authority Let's Run Park Busan-Gyeongnam (Director Eom Youngseok) announced that the '2024 Color Race' event, held at Let's Run Park on the 25th with over 3,000 participants gathered, concluded successfully.
The Color Race is a global, unique marathon with a large international fan base, first launched in the United States in 2012 and held in over 35 countries to date. In the Busan-Gyeongnam region, the first event was held at Let's Run Park Busan-Gyeongnam in 2017, and this year marks its fourth edition. This year's event featured an even richer and more vibrant running stage with various attractions and entertainment.
Even before the warm-up recreation began, participants were already enjoying the festival by covering themselves in color powder and playfully throwing it at each other.
The participants ranged from friends and couples to foreigners, and the atmosphere was heated with cheers and encouragement even before the race began. Many families with young children also participated in the event, drawing particular attention.
The race took place along a 3.5 km course that combined various attractions and horse-themed paths of Let's Run Park Busan-Gyeongnam. The scenery, with early summer trees and flowers blending together at sunset, provided the perfect setting for taking commemorative photos and enjoying the run.
In the colorful zones set up along the course, color powder made from corn starch exploded like fireworks, and participants enjoyed their run as if it were a festival.
The after-party, held after the marathon, featured an EDM performance by a famous DJ, followed by a stage by Norazo, creating a spectacular ending. Let's Run Park Busan-Gyeongnam also operated various events for Color Race participants, including a lucky horseshoe and beverage roulette, a mini horse feeding experience, and a photo box event, all of which received enthusiastic responses from attendees.
