LG Electronics Holds 'MoodUp Refrigerator' Experience Event on Paris Champs-?lys?es

Over 4,000 Visitors on the Same Day

LG Electronics is accelerating its European expansion by announcing the launch of the MoodUp refrigerator in France and holding an experiential event on the Champs-?lys?es, a landmark street in Paris.

On the 26th (local time), LG Electronics held a MoodUp refrigerator event under the theme "Picnic on the Most Beautiful Champs-?lys?es in the World." For this, the Champs-?lys?es street was transformed into a large-scale picnic space measuring 216 meters in length and a total area of 4,212㎡. Visitors to the event toured exhibition zones to experience the main features of the MoodUp refrigerator and enjoyed a picnic with food prepared at cooking booths decorated with the MoodUp refrigerator.


LG Electronics explained, "It is unusual for a private company to hold a large-scale event on the Champs-?lys?es, a symbol of Paris," adding, "This event received great attention." They further stated, "More than 4,000 people visited on the day amid high expectations from local major media and citizens even before the event."


LG Electronics is officially launching the MoodUp refrigerator in France. In the European market, the product will be introduced in seven countries including France, Spain, Germany, and Italy, with plans to expand to 15 countries globally within the year.


The LG MoodUp refrigerator supports selecting desired colors from up to 170,000 combinations via the LG ThinQ app when users want to change the refrigerator’s color and space atmosphere. There is no need to replace panels or pay additional costs to change colors. Since no panels are discarded, it also helps protect the environment. It also offers artificial intelligence (AI) features such as maintaining a consistent temperature according to usage patterns.


Meanwhile, LG Electronics will launch the '2-Door Modern Edge MoodUp' refrigerator, which first gained attention in Europe, in the domestic market next month. It will be introduced as a compact model so that the YG (Young Generation) and single- or two-person households can enjoy MoodUp. The upper refrigerator door of the new product features a Knock-On function that allows users to check the interior without opening the door, and the lower freezer door has a MoodUp door that can change colors.


Lee Cheon-guk, Vice President and Head of LG Electronics’ Europe region, said, "The LG MoodUp refrigerator is an innovative product that breaks fixed ideas about design and color," adding, "We will continue to hold various differentiated customer experience events like the Champs-?lys?es picnic event in global markets including Europe."
