Jung-gu, Seoul (Mayor Kim Gil-seong) will hold the Namsan Height Restriction Relaxation Achievement Sharing Event titled "We Live in Namsan" at 3 PM on June 3rd at the Shinsegae Namsan Trinity Hall in Jangchung-dong.

This achievement sharing event, held to announce the results of relaxing the Namsan height restriction?a long-standing resident wish for 30 years?and to celebrate with the community, is expected to be attended by about 400 people including guests and officials, mainly residents from Hoehyeon-dong, Myeong-dong, Pildong, Jangchung-dong, and Dasan-dong, where the Namsan height district is located.

The Seoul City height district reorganization plan including Namsan was amended and approved by the City Urban Planning Committee on June 1st. After a resident review period, the final decision is expected to be announced by the end of June.

Through the achievement sharing event, Jung-gu will comprehensively summarize the results of the Namsan height restriction relaxation centered on the recently amended approval, the progress made so far, and follow-up projects, and will screen a specially produced video expressing gratitude and expectations from residents living within the height district.

As this event is a celebration of achievements and encouragement of efforts, various celebratory performances (5 teams) will be held intermittently including the opening. Additionally, there will be a time to award the Mayor’s Commendation to public officials, residents, and partners who contributed to the relaxation of the Namsan height restriction. The event will conclude with a finale where all attendees join in a chorus.

The district presents this achievement sharing event with the meaning of concluding the Namsan height restriction relaxation together with residents, as they began this process as partners with the community.

Jung-gu was sincere in communicating and gathering opinions from residents throughout the process of promoting the Namsan height restriction relaxation. Along with the official start, a resident council was formed to serve as the project’s focal point, and a survey was conducted targeting all landowners within the height district.

Subsequently, they continuously shared progress and collected resident opinions without omission through visiting briefings, academies, expert debates, and resident forums.

In particular, in March, a field support center was operated in Dasan-dong, where they directly collected a petition signed by about 4,500 Dasan-dong residents who wished for further height restriction relaxation and delivered it to Seoul City, putting great effort into serving as a communication channel.

These efforts have shone, and the Namsan height restriction relaxation is evaluated as reflecting the opinions of Jung-gu and residents beyond initial expectations.
