"Importance of Win-Win Partnership with Universities in the Era of 1 Million Population"
Jeong Myeong-geun, Mayor of Hwaseong City, Gyeonggi Province, held a communication meeting with university presidents and industry-academic cooperation directors in the area at Hwaseong Citizen University on the 24th.

This meeting was organized to explore ways for mutual cooperation between the region and universities. The meeting was attended by presidents and industry-academic cooperation directors from Suwon University, Suwon Science College, Suwon Women's University, Jangan University, Hyupsung University, Hwaseong Medical Science University, and Hongik University.
At the meeting, the presidents presented opinions on various topics such as the ▲Regional Innovation-centered University Support System (RISE) project, ▲contract department operation, and ▲lifelong education projects, where metropolitan cities support universities after planning instead of the central government.
Mayor Jeong said, "Universities are the present and future of Hwaseong City," adding, "As Hwaseong City enters the era of one million population, coexistence and partnership with universities are more important than ever."
