Gyeonggi-do Expands 'Youth Worker Account'... Recruiting 6,300 People from the 31st Gyeonggi Provincial Government

Gyeonggi Province is recruiting participants for the Youth Worker Savings Account to help young workers build assets.


On the 26th, Gyeonggi Province announced that it will recruit 6,300 participants for the "2024 Gyeonggi Province Youth Worker Savings Account" from the 31st of this month to the 17th of next month to support young people's asset formation. This year, the eligibility age, income criteria, and number of supported participants have been expanded compared to last year.


The Gyeonggi Province Youth Worker Savings Account is a program where participants who maintain employment for two years and save 100,000 KRW monthly will receive an additional monthly support fund of 142,000 KRW from Gyeonggi Province, totaling 5.8 million KRW (including 1 million KRW in local currency) after two years.


This year’s applicants must be residents of Gyeonggi Province aged between 19 and 39, belonging to households with income at or below 120% of the median income. Part-time workers and self-employed individuals are also eligible to apply. Last year, the eligibility was residents aged 18 to 34 with household income at or below 100% of the median income, and 4,000 participants were supported.


Gyeonggi Province will conduct document screening, check for duplicate participation in similar programs, and hold a selection committee meeting, with the final list of participants to be announced on August 12.
