Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education held the inauguration ceremony of the 'Miraenarae Education Reporters' Corps' on the 25th.
The Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education has launched the ‘Miraenarae Education Reporters Corps.’
On the 25th, the Office of Education announced on the 26th that it held the inauguration ceremony for the ‘1st Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education Miraenarae Education Reporters Corps’ for the southern region at the main auditorium of the Gwanggyo Southern Office of Education in Suwon.
Previously, the Office of Education formed the Miraenarae Education Reporters Corps with a total of 212 members, including 130 student reporters from elementary, middle, and high schools, and 82 staff correspondents.
In the Miraenarae Education Reporters Corps, ‘Miraenarae’ symbolizes students and staff, the main agents of education, spreading their wings toward a bright future and communicating with the world.
The reporters will play a role in promoting and communicating the on-site implementation of Gyeonggi education policies and school news until December. Their main activities include ▲ articles on Gyeonggi education policy planning ▲ School news reports called Schooltong ▲ educational columns ▲ coverage of educational sites.
The articles written will be posted on the official blog of the Office of Education’s reporters corps (https://blog.naver.com/goe_press) and shared through the Office of Education’s official YouTube and Instagram channels.
To support the reporters corps’ activities, the Office of Education will provide monthly professional training for reporters, cooperation with related departments and institutions for on-site coverage, sharing of outstanding articles on social networking services (SNS), awards for excellent reporters, production of the top 10 video news stories by the end of the year, and publication of a collection of outstanding articles.
Meanwhile, the inauguration ceremony for the northern region will be held on the 1st of next month at the main auditorium of the Northern Office of Education, targeting schools and institutions affiliated with the northern region.
Lee Gil-ho, Director of Public Relations Planning at the Office of Education, said, "We will actively support the activities of the Miraenarae Education Reporters Corps, who will view and evaluate education policies from the perspective of education consumers," adding, "We hope that the reporters corps’ activities will establish a communication channel where diverse opinions on Gyeonggi education can be shared and empathized with."
